E-commerce

The topic we cover in our last class was E Commerce. It followed a simple but revolutionary rule "offer valuable products and services at a fair price".
This is a very subjective topic. With the modern economy being as fluid as ever, who is to say what is fair? Like what Dr. Thatcher was describing in class, the subject of Star Wars memorabilia, a expert in the subject would have to apprise the value of the object before a fair price could be determined. I would have no idea what a vintage figurine would be worth, for me one mans trash is another mans treasure, especially with online sales.
The issue of fair price would then have to be determined by an expert in the subject matter. With the wide scope of the market, a niche is bound to exist. For a approximate appraisal value one must inquire from the niche market, or the data will be skewed severely. This is exactly where the E commerce draws its worth. Because the market is so wide, anything of true worth can be sold and apprised appropriately, it just comes down to a game of chance and a matter of time.
